My husband and I had to vote absentee ballot today.  Interesting to me that I had to stand in line for about 20 minutes to get to vote! But Whoopee!

We are leaving on a building mission trip for approximately 2 weeks so I probably will not be blogging during this time.  If you follow our blog… or no *Read* our blog you know by now I’m fairly conservative yet totally non-judgmental for who you are.  I may not agree with everything others write but am willing to listen.  I KNOW what I believe!  I KNOW WHY I believe it! Guess you can call me one stubborn Kentucky Hillbilly! (a lot of people do:-)

So I guess I just have to say what’s on my mind and step over the boundary of politically correctness.  Please Vote!

—I find it disturbing that the only media that is covering the tragedy that occurred in Bengazi is Fox News. Our government let four Americans die for political reasons, and, to so many, it doesn’t matter. Yes, I absolutely believe our President watched it happen. Father of slain Seal speaks out.

—Also find it disturbing that our president lifted the restraints on abortion, partial birth abortions, and live abortions. That means if a baby survives the procedure and lives, it cannot receive medical attention. It takes a special kind of sickness in the head to vote against giving medical assistance to premature babies who managed to survive an abortion attempt, and allowing them to die of suffocation, dehydration, and exposure.  Yet this is now the official stance of the DNC.  As a Senator, Obama voted three  times in support of infanticide.

―I am troubled by the fact that we have a president who has NEVER been to Israel, yet he invited a group of  muslims to the white house to observe a muslim holiday. And we canceled the National Day of Prayer?

―I think we ought to be concerned that the man who gave the closing prayer during Obama’s inauguration made the statement the he believed all “White People” are going to hell!  I sure am glad I am NOT trusting in him to get me to Heaven!  But my trust is in Christ alone.

―I will vote, according to my conscience, and then I will forget about it. God is ultimately in control, and He set up, even wicked kings, to accomplish His purpose. I have read the last chapter, and I know how the story ends!!   ~Jen

Is it any wonder that we have a major problem with sex trafficking in America? We have a candidate that is using sex in his advertising and is totally demoralizing to women! Do we have to sexualize everything?  Even down to the office of the President of the United States?

This is not about being a Democrat or a Republican this is about standing up for the right of women.  Now we’re seeing an ad that wants young first-time voters to imagine that pulling the lever is like having sex with that candidate. What makes it even worse is that it is endorsed by his campaign! My first time ad is so disgusting!  Pro lifers respond to it. (more…)

Responsibility!

We are drawing very close to the election 2012.  We’ve all received the 5×7 glossy cards on our door from candidates, the big flyers stuck on our windshield or obnoxious facebook posts.  My heart tells me this is one of the most important elections of our time.  Issues that strike the very core of a believer’s being are being impacted. For our family that would be their stand on abortion, whether they will stand behind Israel, and other general conservative issues.

There have been 12 Presidential elections that were decided by less than a 1% margin; meaning if less than 1% of the voters in certain states had changed their mind to the other candidate the outcome of the entire election would have been different.

I do believe that God will hold us responsible for the freedoms He has given us. Many countries do not have the privilege of voting like we do. Some countries are totally run by a dictator so they have no elections.

With the advertising across our TV and the internet it makes it difficult to know the truth about the candidate.  That’s why it is important to do your own research about them.

Think of Adolf Hitler and his rise to power after World War I.   Hitler had a great ability as a public speaker and it aided his rise in his political party. Germany was on the fringe of recovering from World War I, and their economy was terrible. Hitler promised the German people if he were elected he would turn their economy around. The people of Germany did not do much research on Hitler, or they would have learned that he was against the Jews, against democracy, and was for a dictatorship. He was elected into power and the rest is a sad history. If only the people would have done their homework, they probably would not have elected this evil man as their leader.

There are some areas that I take a stand on and they are very important to me.  I know both of the Presidential candidates stand on these issues. It is not about Republican or Democrat but it is about the candidates lining up with what you believe in.  It is important to vote.  That right may be taken away from us one day.

When this man walked into our American bank with his transition prescription glasses on he was asked to remove them for security reasons or leave the bank.  In protest he replied, “Why do I have to remove my prescription glasses and she can be completely covered, possibly hiding weapons?” He had to leave the bank or continue his transaction without his glasses. He left. The person completely covered was allowed to stay. Our focus is out of focus!
