“Whoever touches you touches the apple of His eye.” ~Zech. 2:8
Throughout scripture, we see Israel as the apple of God’s eye. The New Testament “marries”, not abolishes, the Old Testament. Whoever believes in Christ’s atoning death on the cross, whether Jew or Greek, is clearly seen as the “apple of God’s eye”. He is intimately involved in your day today. Try, as your day progresses, to think of the day when you will see Jesus face-to-face. Our lives, in comparison to eternity, are only a very short vapor. You haven’t been abandoned. If you are His child, He who began a good work in you will see it through to completion. He loves you so much that if you were the only person on planet earth, He still would have come to die, just for you!!
