David in Scripture rejoiced when those who mocked God (as Schaap has done through his behavior) were brought to justice. Yes, we weep, but we also recognize the irony of his hypocrisy and are grateful that he can no longer hide secret sins behind a facade of holiness.

Perhaps it’s time to our renounce our worship of men and their trust in the arm of flesh. I know many of these very well. But I fear too many of the Independent Fundamental Baptist crowd will continue to hurl their stones of self-righteousness, blame and hatred, and fear even as they search for a new idol to prop in place of this disgusting one. The Baptist want to continue to focus our attention on the Catholic crowd and NO ONE is guarding the post!. God have Mercy!

  1. Romel says:

Do you remember how David sent Uriah the Hittie to the front line of a battle knowing that the man would get killed as part of a plot to commit adultery with Bathsheba, Uriah’s wife? After this came to the light David rectified his wrong and was still referred to as a Man After God’s Own Heart. The point is anyone can fall including David. Before analyzing someone else’s life for the wrong they have done begin by looking in the mirror, that is what I do. Finally, David’s son Solomon writes in Proverbs 24:17-18.
17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:
18 Lest the Lord see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.
I use this verse because it is befitting of everyone’s sentiment of Schaap as an enemy.
I know you have your opinion, this is a good thing and I am glad you know some Bible, but be careful about glorying in someone’s falling.

    • So this is a Blame Bathsheba time? Look up the sermon by Jack Hyles in which he made the reference to Bathsheba bathing on the rooftop within view of David’s window with the purpose of seducing him. Of course, no proof of motive was offered, but Jack Hyles tells it as though he knows it as fact. And because of this David did not hold as much responsibility for the sin as she did. It is WRONG to so blatantly add to God’s Word and state for truth what God DID not include in Scripture.
My point being this is happening all too often in too many churches. The IFB movement has NO ONE overseeing what’s going on. They are quick to point out blame on the Catholic church. I AM IFB! And I am sick of this.
