When tragedy occurs, when the dark night of evil seems as though it can’t get any darker, we see gentle human compassion demonstrated toward others. We see people encouraging others to love one another more. In the dark days of adversity we see what we can and should be. People are comforting strangers.  I’ve been on the other side of tragedy. I’ve been on the other side of evil. The compassion doesn’t last. The love demonstrated from others is only temporary.  My prayer is that we will one day learn to love like this when the sun is shining bright.

The Bible tells us that the last days would be like the days of Noah when the earth was filled with violence and corruption. Prior to Sodom and Gomorrah’ judgment, the people there rejected God, we’re lovers of pleasures and lovers of themselves and sodomites ruled the land. And Lot grieved over the conditions of the society he lived in. I don’t think things will get better. Jesus said when He returns, will He find faith on earth?

2Tim3 describes the Christians of the end times church being no different than the unconverted.
