Creating a Polka Dot Wall

Using an old laundry basket and taping it to the wall to create a polka dot wall.  Now for the tips that you do not see by just looking at the picture.

  • After cutting out my section of the basket, I laid it flat in the sun to soften the plastic.
  • Use a small sponge roller instead of a large 9″ roller.  This gives you much more control!  The large roller allowed for more seepage.
  • If you’re not comfortable working with a large portion, cut the basket into smaller portions.

This is a very cute project and really quite simple.  The key is to pay attention to the tips that I given.

This looks awesome and fun, but could you please tell me what the clear plastic is that is around the edge of the white plastic?

Tell us what you think :)
